gnuplot-qt software package provides Command-line driven interactive plotting program. QT-package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnuplot-qt
gnuplot-qt is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnuplot-qt package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnuplot-qt *
You will get with gnuplot-qt package name, version, architecture and description in a table
